In some cases, we will need to inspect the LP*.lpr and LP*.con for the problem spooled-file. You can use the [File|Open] menu-option to display all your converted spooled-files, then select the grid-line for the problem job and click on the [Properties|File] menu-option to view all the files belonging to this job. Please archive (if possible) the selected files in a zip-file and send them to us. If file LP*.lpr is not present, you will need to change a setting on the [Log] page of the configuration program. The "Log LPD Activity" combo-box should be set to "YES". Then re-write the spooled-file to PDFing.

PDFing.com was launched in April 2000 as a dedicated website for our product PDFing. PDFing is a registered business name in the U.K. PDFing was developed in response to PC users who requested AS400 reports in a portable format, by David Fowle, Chief Information Officer of PDFing. David has worked on IBM AS400 systems for over 15 years. Jane Hearn, Web-site author and administrator, has 12 years experience as an I.T. trainer specialising in Windows applications and publishing tools.

PDFing was first marketed on the web in January 2000 and now has customers on six continents from Hawaii to Japan and from Norway to South Africa. They use PDFing in a variety of industries and services, including Manufacturing, Logistics, Telecommunications, Banking, Computer Services, Hospitals and Education. Their applications include billing, insurance claims, bar coding and laboratory reports.

In return for purchasing a license-key for PDFing, David Fowle grants a license for the use of one copy of PDFing for use on one computer. License-keys for PDFing and supporting files are not to be re-sold or otherwise re-distributed by the purchaser. David Fowle agrees to provide support and service for the product for a period of one year from the date of registration. The support will include free consultation by e-mail or telephone, regular reports on bug-fixes, problems and new releases of PDFing. Service will include free upgrades to new releases of PDFing as and when new features and facilities become available.

David Fowle cannot guarantee that PDFing will run without errors in all operating conditions. However we believe that the core functionality performs reliably, this belief is based on the many thousands of OS400 spooled-files being correctly converted to PDF every day, by our many customers around the world.

David Fowle will not give any information you supply to any third party nor will any of your information be published, without your express permission.

A license-key for the "interactive" version of PDFing costs 399.00 US Dollars. You may purchase the license-key by purchase-order, or on-line using a credit-card. Applying this license-key removes the limitations of the "trial version" of PDFing.

• Removes the "nag" graphic from PDF document pages.
• Removes the "nag" message from email body text.
• Allows complete conversion of "un-transformed" *SCS spooled-files to ACSII and RTF files.
• Allows complete conversion of multi-page AFP spooled-files.
• Free product upgrades and priority support for one year from the date of this purchase.

Once you have received your license-key, enter it into the Interactive Key edit-box on the [System] page of the configuration program and save the changed configuration. The program will then be licensed and will run without the limitations listed above.

A license-key for the "NT service" version of PDFing costs an additional 299.00 US Dollars. Please note that you must have a license-key for the "interactive" PDFing product as well! You may purchase the license-key on-line using a credit-card or by purchase-order. Upgrading to the NT Service version of PDFing gives the following benefits:

• Allows PDFing to run as an NT service, with event-logging.
• Allows remote users to concurrently review spooled-files converted by the NT Service.
• Allows font re-sizing, coloring and line drawing in the output PDF, without "nag text".
• Allows PDF printing, without "nag text".
• Allows PDF encryption to run without password limitations.
• Allows invisible digital-signatures or signature-visibility at a specified position.
• Allows conversion to MS Excel, without "nag text".
• Free product upgrades and priority support for one year from the date of this purchase.

Once you have received your license-key, enter it into the NT Service Key edit-box on the [System] page of the configuration program and save the changed configuration. The program will then be licensed and will enable the features listed above.

If you purchased PDFing before 26th November 2007 and you require the printing and digital-signing feature of PDFing to work without limitations, you may purchase a printing/signing license-key (300042269) on-line using a credit-card or by purchase-order. Otherwise, you must purchase a service license-key. A license-key for the "Printing and Digital-Signing" components for PDFing costs an additional 99.00 US Dollars. Please note that you must have a license-key for the "interactive" PDFing product as well! You may purchase the license-key on-line using a credit-card or by purchase-order. Licensing the printing and digital-signing components for PDFing gives the following benefits:

• Allows PDFing to print PDF files, without "nag" text.
• Allows invisible digital-signatures or signature-visibility at a specified position.

Once you have received your license-key, enter it into the Printing/Signing Key edit-box on the [System] page of the configuration program and save the changed configuration. The program will then be licensed and will enable the features listed above.

Once the initial year of support and free upgrades has expired, you may wish to purchase an upgrade license-key in order to renew your right to priority support and to run later releases of PDFing as fully licensed copies. An upgrade license-key costs 99.00 US Dollars and is valid for one year from the purchase date. You may purchase the license-key on-line using a credit-card or by purchase-order.

Once you have received your upgrade license-key, enter it into the Upgrade Key edit-box on the [System] page of the configuration program and save the changed configuration, If this edit-box is not shown, then the upgrade license-key is not (yet) required.

All on-line credit-card payments are processed, on our behalf by an e-commerce company called "share-it". Using their secure service, you can purchase license-keys for our products using a credit-card. When the purchase is completed, share-it will send you the license-keys by e-mail. All support enquiries about PDFing should still be addressed to us.

Before we can issue license-keys, we need the following information:

• The customer name that you want us to use when generating license-keys.
• The type of license you require "Interactive" and/or "NT Service"
• The number of licenses you require

When we receive your purchase order we will send you an invoice, in pdf format, via email. When we receive payment, either by wire transfer or check, we will generate your license-keys and send them to you by email.
